So this is where I tell my life story?…. hmmm, I am so unprepared. Like 90% of people out there, I have a liberal arts degree, which I now put to good use in the restaurant business. I love food and wine and cooking and baking and reading about all of the above. After a long and sordid career of waiting tables and being a kitchen b#*^!, I am now the (proud) GM at Cellar on Greene in Columbia, SC. I live many fantasy lives in Napa Valley, New York City, and Central Italy… but my real life here in Columbia ain’t too bad. I’m fortunate to have great friends, family and coworkers to care about. My favorite foods are lentils, beets, fresh bread, sausage, and green leafy vegetables. Oh! and watermelon in the summer. Lots of it. Please don’t ask me to pick a favorite wine. I’ll have an anxiety attack.
I have been bitten by the wine bug. Finished my Advanced throught the WSET and will be starting Diploma of Wine and Spirits next year. I am origionally from Pittsburgh, PA but now live in Florence, SC and plan on visiting your place in Columbia. Love the blog. People like yourself are an inspiration for me.
